Thomas E. Hundt
When I was younger and was made to practice the piano, I resented my mother
for making me learn. All of my friends were outside playing baseball,
basketball, etc. while I was inside and had to practice. This is the typical
scenario for many youngsters who are learning to play the piano. I grew up
in a family of German heritage/traditions and along with that came the
stubbornness of my mother. After learning for eight years I stopped taking
piano lessons at fifteen years of age. Gladly, I quit and thought I would
probably never play the piano again. Two years later I began to create some
of my own melodies on the piano. I developed a passion for writing and today
at the age of twenty four have my first piano solo album. The music in this
piano solo album was written in an effort to express the deepest of emotions.
All songs are original compositions. Some of the titles are in German. The
title "Regentropfen im Mai" translated means "Rain Drops in May." The title
"Zufriedenheit" means "Contentfulness." The title "Fur Erika" means "For
Erika." Erika is my mother. To her I dedicate this album. Were it not for
her and her insistency for me to keep learning this album would not have
been possible. Thank you mom......
This piano solo album was digitally mastered at studio "A" in Dearborn Heights,
MI. An 1898 Steinway Grand Piano was used for all songs recorded.
As always, I am open for any questions, comments you may have.
